Ecuador is the topic for our May meeting. For those of us who haven’t
had the opportunity to experience the exotic Ecuadorian habitats, this
will be an interesting program. Mary McKinley, Executive Director for
the Ogden Nature Center has had such an experience and will share her
adventure with us. Come and bring a friend. At the Ogden Nature Center
(966 W 12th).
May 16th (Wed): Wasatch Audubon Bird Walk - Willard Bay - Meet at 7:30
at McDonald’s (1838 W 2700N, east of I-15 exit #349) for breakfast or at

information can be found on the Festival Home Page.
May 19th (Sat): Red Cliff Audubon Field Trip - Grafton/Springdale/Kolob

surprises, but expect to find plenty of warblers, flycatchers and
sparrows. The Springdale Pond is well known for a rare bird or two and
is always exciting. Time allowing and for those that are willing we will
bird the road from the town of Virgin to Kolob Reservoir, hoping to
catch early glimpses of such species as Lewis' woodpecker and, at the
reservoir, loons and plovers. . Meet at the St. George BLM at 7:00 AM or
Lin's parking lot in Hurricane at 7:30 AM or if you know where the
Grafton ghost town is we'll see you there at about 8:00 AM.
