In Lancaster County on February 26th, 2 Ross's Geese, 2 Rusty Blackbirds, and a
Killdeer were recorded at Branched Oak Lake.
In Seward County on February 26th, 4 Brown-headed Cowbirds were seen.
In Sioux County on March 1st, a Prairie Falcon was seen in the Pine Ridge
northeast of Hay Springs.
In Dawes County on the 1st, 6 Pygmy Nuthatches and 2 Prairie Falcons were
recorded at Chadron State Park.
In Box Butte County on the 1st, 3 Mountain Bluebirds were seen at Box Butte
Reservoir.
In Dodge County on March 2nd, a Killdeer was observed at ADM Big Elevator
Sandpit in Fremont.
In Phelps County on the 3rd, 11 Greater Scaups were seen at Funk WPA.
In Hamilton County on the 3rd, a Merlin was recorded.
In Sarpy County on the 3rd, a Turkey Vulture was seen in Bellevue.
In Sioux County on the 3rd, about 35 Clark's Nutcrackers, 25 Pygmy Nuthatches
and a Mountain Bluebird were seen in Monroe Canyon and Sowbelly Canyon.
In Keith County on the 4th, 8 Wilson’s Snipes were observed at Cedar Creek N of
Paxton and 2 Killdeers on North Platte River in that county.
In Lincoln County on the 4th, 2 Killdeers were recorded in meadows on White
Horse Creek NW of North Platte.
In Douglas County on the 4th, a Turkey Vulture was seen in Omaha.
In Garfield County on the 4th and 5th, a Common Redpoll was observed at a feeder
near Burwell.
In Saunders County on the 6th, a Ruddy Duck was recorded at Czechland Lake.
In Douglas County on the 6th, 3 Common Redpolls were recorded at a feeder in
Omaha.
In Greeley County on the 6th, a Yellow-rumped Warbler and Eurasian Collared-Dove
were seen in Wolbach. A Eurasian Collared-Dove was recorded in Spalding.
In Lincoln County on the 7th, a Barn Owl was recorded in Brady.
In Stanton County on the 8th, an Eastern Towhee was seen southeast of Pilger.
In Wayne County on the 8th, 2 Eurasian Collared-Doves were observed at Grain
elevator in Wayne.
In Dundy County on the 9th, a Turkey Vulture was seen in SW part of that county.
In Keith County on the 5th, 126 American White Pelicans were seen at Lake
McConaughy.
In Garden County on the 5th, 40,000 to 50,000 of Sandhill Cranes were recorded
on western end of Lake McConaughy area and into the Clear Creek SWMA and west
past Lewellen. Also a Virginia Rail was observed.
In Sioux County on the 7th, 5 Clark's Nutcrackers, 4 Pygmy Nuthatches, 32 Red
Crossbills, and 6 Mountain Bluebirds were recorded at Gilbert Baker Wildlife MA.
In Hall County on the 9th, a Golden Eagle was seen east of Grand Island on hwy
34.
In Sarpy County on the 12th, a Great Blue Heron was recorded at Hanson's Lake
area in southern part of that county.
In Furnas County on the 13th, an Eastern Phoebe was recorded.
In Lincoln County on the 14th, 30-35 Rusty Blackbirds were seen on Pawnee Creek
west of Brady.
In Clay County on the 16th, a Wilson’s Snipe, and 9 Baird's Sandpipers were
recorded at Harvard Marsh.
In Sarpy County on the 17th, a Greater Yellowlegs was seen Hidden Lake in
Fontenelle Forest.
In Lincoln County on the 17th, a Marsh Wren, a Franklin’s Gull and a Greater
Yellowlegs were recorded.
In Keith County on the 17th, a Marsh Wren was observed.
In Sarpy County on the 17th, 2 Double-crested Cormorants were seen at Walnut
Creek Lake near Papillion.
In Clay County on the 18th, 9 Least Sandpipers, 16 Baird's Sandpipers, 1 Greater
Yellowlegs, 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, and aLong-billed Dowitcher were observed at
Harvard Marsh.
In Boone County on the 18th, 2 Eurasian Collared-Doves were recorded.
In Dixon County on the 18th, 200 Lapland Longspurs. and 7 Ruddy Ducks were seen.
In Hall County on the 18th, 5 Rusty Blackbirds were observed.
In Buffalo County on the 18-19th, 5 Semi-palmated Sandpipers and 2 Lesser
Yellowlegs
were recorded.
In Franklin County on the 19th, 15 Greater-Prairie Chickens were seen.
In Lancaster County on the 19th, 45 Ruddy Ducks were seen at Pawnee Lake.
In Clay County on the 20th, 51 Baird's Sandpipers, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 2
Pectoral Sandpipers, a Long-billed Dowitcher and American Golden Plover were
seen at Harvard Marsh.
In Johnson County on the 20th, 31 males of Greater Prairie-Chickens were
observed south of Vesta, and 5 Trumpeter Swans at Burchard Lake.
In Dodge County on the 20th, a Peregrine Falcon was seen in downtown Fremont and
a Greater Scaup at ADM Big Elevator Sandpit on the west side of town.
In Clay County on the 22nd, a Greater Yellowlegs, a Lesser Yellowlegs a Pectoral
Sandpiper, 2 Wilson’s Snipes and a Pied-billed Grebe were observed at Harvard
Marsh.
In Cheyenne County on the 22nd, 2 Mountain Bluebirds, 2 Eurasian Collared-Doves
and a few Purple Finches were recorded in Sidney.
In Hall County on the 23rd, 3 Eurasian-collared Doves were seen.
In Custer County on the 23rd, 3 Great-tailed Grackles east of Broken Bow were
recorded.
In Buffalo County on the 23rd, a Rough-legged Hawk was observed.
In Sarpy County on the 23rd, a Red-shouldered Hawk was heard in Fontenelle
Forest.
In Lancaster County on the 23rd, 2 American White Pelicans and Red Crossbills
were seen at Branched Oak Lake.
In Saunders County on the 23rd, 2 Trumpeter Swans were recorded at Czechland
Lake near Prague.
In Lancaster County on the 23rd, 5 Ruddy Ducks were seen at Wildwood WMA.
In Dundy County on the 24th, 8 American Pipits were recorded in sparse
vegetation on a sandbar on the river.
In Lincoln County on the 25th, a Pied-billed Grebe was observed at North Platte
City Lake.
In Sarpy County on the 26th, a Pileated Woodpecker and a Red-shouldered Hawk
were seen at Fontenelle Forest.
