In Chase County on December 20th, a Prairie Falcon and 12 Townsend's Solitaires
were seen around Enders reservoir.
In Lincoln County on the 20th, 2 Eurasian Collared-Doves and 6 Mountain
Bluebirds were observed at Wellfleet WMA.
In Lancaster County on the 28th, a Brown Thrasher was recorded at UNL city
campus in Lincoln. A Purple Finch and 14 Rusty Blackbirds were observed at Twin
Lakes WMA.
In Scotts Bluff County on the 28th, a Pied-billed Grebe was recorded at Buffalo
Creek Game Refuge.
In Dundy County on the 28th, a Ferruginous Hawk was seen in NW part of that
county.
In Lincoln County on the 28th, 10 Greater Prairie-Chickens were recorded south
of North Platte.
In Sioux County on the 28th, a Golden Eagle, Pygmy Nuthatches and Clark’s
Nutcrackers were seen in the Pine Ridge area north of Harrison.
In Lincoln County on the 29th, 2 Trumpeter Swans and a Prairie Falcon were seen
on Birdwood Creek. Two Prairie Falcons were observed NW of North Platte.
In Sarpy County on the 30th, a Purple Finch was recorded at a feeder in
Bellevue.
In Douglas County on the 31st, a Winter Wren was observed at Spring Lake Park in
South Omaha, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and 5 Wild Turkeys were seen at West
Lawn - Hillcrest Cemetery 56th and Center in Omaha, and 3 Purple Finches were
recorded at Hanscom Park in Omaha.
In Sarpy County on the 31st, 8 Brown-headed Cowbirds were seen at a feeder in
Bellevue.
In Cass County on the 31st, a Trumpeter Swan was observed at Beaver Lake.
In Lancaster County on the 31st, a Great-tailed Grackle was recorded at Cracker
Barrel marsh in Lincoln, and 2 Pine Siskins at Branched Oak Lake.
In Scotts Bluff County on January 1st, 7 Wood Ducks were seen at Berggren's
pond, 8 Bohemian Waxwings and a Prairie Falcon were observed in the Carter
Canyon area, and about 30 Eurasian Collared-Doves were recorded around Mitchell.
A Mountain Chickadee has been seen in Scottsbluff for a couple of weeks.
In Loup County on the 1st, a Great Blue Heron, 40 Sharp-tailed Grouses, 53
Greater Prairie Chickens, 3 Wilson's Snipes, 4 Townsend's Solitaires, 10,216
American Robins, a Rusty Blackbird and 5 Purple Finches were recorded in the
Calamus Reservoir area.
In Buffalo County on the 1st, an Evening Grosbeak was seen in the rural Cedar
Hills neighborhood northwest of Kearney.
In Platte County on the 1st, 2 Trumpeter Swans were seen in a cornfield just
west of Monroe.
In Douglas County on the 2nd, a Killdeer was recorded south of the Hormel Foods
plant, and 3 Purple Finches northeast of Cedar Bluffs.
In Cheyenne County on the 2nd, 15 Purple Finches were seen in Sidney.
In Keith County on the 2nd, a Gray Catbird, an Iceland Gull, a Thayer's Gull, a
Glaucous Gull and a Pygmy Nuthatch were recorded at and around Lake Ogallala.
In Lincoln County on the 3rd, an immature Northern Goshawk was recorded outside
of the NGPC office at North Platte.
In Cedar County on the 3rd, a 1st winter White-winged Scoter was observed just
below the spillway at Gavin's Pt. Dam.
In Sarpy County on the 7th, a Carolina Wren was recorded in Bellevue.
In Cedar County on the 8th, 10 Purple Finches, 10 Eastern Bluebirds, 2
Townsend's Solitaires, 2 Black-billed Magpies and a White-winged Scoter were
seen at the Wiseman Monument and Missouri River area.
In Dixon County on the 8th, a Brown-headed Cowbird, and a Prairie Falcon were
recorded.
In Lancaster County on the 8th, 2 Spotted Towhees were recorded at UNL city
campus in Lincoln. About 20 Red Crossbills were observed at Twin Lakes.
In Seward County on the 8th, 35 Pine Siskins and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker were
seen in Garland.
In Lancaster County on the 9th, a Barred Owl was seen in the Wilderness Park
neighborhood in Lincoln.
In Scotts Bluff County on the 9th, a White-winged Dove was seen in the town of
Morrill.
In Lincoln County on the 10th, a Brown Thrasher has been coming to a feeder in
the North Platte area. About 25 Pine Siskins and 8 Eurasian Collared-Doves have
been observed at a feeder in Brady.
In Washington County on the 10th, a Savannah Sparrow was seen at Boyer Chute
NWR.
In Keith County on the 12th, 10 Red-breasted Mergansers and 2 American White
Pelicans were observed at Lake Ogallala. A Great Blue Heron was seen on North
Platte River. A Killdeer and 10 Eastern Bluebirds were recorded north of Paxton.

In Buffalo County on the 13th, a Carolina Wren was seen in Kearney.
In Douglas County on the 14th, 2 Common Redpolls and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
were recorded at a feeder in Omaha.
