Welcome to the Arkansas Rare Bird Alert for June 20, 2009, sponsored by the
Audubon Society of Central Arkansas (ASCA).  ASCA meets at 7:00pm on the second
Thursday of each month at the Fletcher Library (a block east of University Ave.
on H St. in Little Rock).  Check our website at www.ascabird.org for details on
meetings and field trips!  .

From around the state recent sightings are:

A late male Rose-Breasted Grosbeak is visiting a backyard feeder in Harrison.
Call 870-741-5805 for more information.

A Rufous-Crowned Sparrow is present on Mt. Magazine at Mt. Magazine State Park. 
 See Don Simons at the park for location.

At Frog Bayou Wildlife Management Area (WMA) 2 Least Bitterns were seen.

A Lark Bunting is at the farm of Joe & Esta Lee Heuer Pattie north of Harrison
on Hwy 7.
