SIGHTINGS FOR WEDNESDAY MAY 27:
DUNLIN - 8 seen by Ian Halladay in the east end of the wetlands on Hwy 560
just west of Hwy 24.
STILT SANDPIPER - 500 reported by IH in the west end of the above wetlands
SANDERLING - a breeding-plumaged bird reported by IH at the same wetland. A
total of 17 species of shorebirds were seen here by IH.
WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER - Bob Storms reported 3 at the southwest corner of
Langdon Corner Slough, just west of Hwy 9 on Highway 1.

WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER - 3 seen by Hank Vanderpol at wetlands on Hwy 560
west of Hwy 24.
SPOTTED TOWHEE - 2 reported by Gus Yaki in Weaselhead
GRAY CATBIRD - reported by GY in Weaselhead

ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK - widely reported in the Calgary area this week.
albino AMERICAN ROBIN - in the neighbourhood of Linda Javeri in Roxborough.

SABINE'S GULL - a flock of 40 seen at Weed Lake by Bob Storms and Michael
Harrison
WHITE-FACED IBIS - 2 birds seen near Shepard by Colleen Hepteen on 84 St SE
south of Glenmore Trail.
BROAD-WINGED HAWK - seen at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary by Sandra Savage.
PEREGRINE FALCON - unknown observer in the Mount Royal district
