Overview

If you own one of the Bird Song Audio CDs you've probably wished for an easier way to access the sounds of individual species. Hunting through the booklet for the track and time and then manipulating your CD player can be time consuming and tedious. Here's an answer to your wish.

Voyager's CDLink(tm) (currently unavailable) is a helper application which allows your browser to control the playback of an Audio CD loaded into your CD-ROM drive. The following index pages use CDLink(tm) to allow you to easily access the individual species sounds on your Bird Song Audio CDs.

The index pages are split into 3 sections:

Table of Contents
Lists the groups of birds on the current CD.
Click on a group name to jump to that group
in the Audio CD Links section.
Audio CD Links
Lists the species (and groups) on the CD.
Click on a name to hear that section of the CD.
CD Controller
Audio CD Player style panel to control CD-ROM Drive.
Click the pause, play, stop, and eject buttons to control the CD.

Directions

  1. Download and install Voyager's CDLink(tm) (currently unavailable).
  2. Check your browser's Helper Apps to make sure
that mime-type audio/x-cdlink launches CDLink Kernal.
  3. Load one of the supported Audio CDs into your CD-ROM drive.
  4. Click on the link for that CD's Index Page below.
  5. Click on names in the 'Audio CD Links' section to hear that section of the CD.
