SOLITARY SANDPIPERS in and around the flooded areas of the farm
fields. Andrew Dasinger e-mailed me the other day and said he had 22
Solitary's in the Glastonbury Meadows on Saturday!

Mill Pond on the grass in the saltmarsh, one BROWN THRASHER feeding
out in the open on grass the near the platform; one SNOW GOOSE
persists amonst the Canada Geese on the rotary.

Note: We had a second unconfirmed report of a White Ibis in Clinton.
This one was two days ago, by a non-birder. It was seen from a boat.
You may recall the previous report from May 7.

them about a week and a half ago but wanted to be sure before I
posted. In the evening I heard one about 1.1 mile in from the
beginning of the road, then at least 3 more starting about 1.9 and
periodically until the road goes downhill at its end.

at the 90 degree bend in the trail at dusk. It flushed off the trail
but I didn't see it with binoculars, so I can't say if it's a hybrid
or not, but it sounds like a King rail
