Rain also prevailed to the west and south of the watch site when we shut down. Raptor Observations: A truncated continuation of yesterday's nice osprey, sharp-shinned and broadwing flights with all species, even the broadwings, flying in the light showers (although in reduced numbers). When the front moved in with steadier rain, migratory activity ended. The southerly winds concentrated the migrants nicely at our lakeshore site where we spent the entire watch. One non-migrating bald eagle; the migrating adult bald eagle flew by observers below eye level and within fifty metres. Non-raptor Observations: Eileen and Bill Jowett, Mike Ceci, Tom Wasilewski and Jann Randell helped with the count.
