excellent spotting. Awesome day, and it was a great team effort...
Weather:
After the first hour, we had a lot of friendly clouds to assist us. Fairly
comfy temps, although it was a little chilly at times. Favorable light to
moderate winds all day.
Raptor Observations:
We had a couple of immie Bald Eagles escorted through the territory by a
couple of local adult Bald Eagles.
A Barred Owl was heard several times, throughout the day.
Obviously an excellent day for migrating Broad-winged Hawks, Sharp-shinned
Hawks, and Ospreys.
Non-raptor Observations:
2 more Evening Grosbeaks in a flyby. Approx. 100 Double-crested Cormorants
going North(in numerous flights); and a pair of Pine Warblers gathering
nesting material around Count Site.
Also, several Common Loons in flyover action. Awesome!

Observers:
Weather:
Sunny skies in the morning gave way to increasing cloudiness in the
afternoon as a frontal system approached from the southwest, a system
forecast to bring rain in the overnight. Winds were light to moderate
east-northeast becoming moderate east-southeast late in the day.
Raptor Observations:
A similar flight was seen as the day previous but tapering off more sharply
in the afternoon with the increasing cloud cover. Sharp-shins overall were
a bit steadier than yesterday and a late-day push of Kestrels rounded out
the day nicely.
Non-raptor Observations:
New arrivals in the area included Black and white Warbler, Black-throated
Green Warbler and Blue-headed Vireo. A brief view of a fly-by Spruce Grouse
was perhaps unexpected as it made the move from one Jack-pine clump to
another. Boreal Chickadees continue to be seen travelling with the roving
bands of Black-caps.
