To use email addresses replace '(AT)' with '@'.
This is done to confuse the spam 'bots.

This issue features an image provided by a reader to share with all of you; http://scienceblogs.com/grrlscientist/2008/04/birds_in_the_news_127.php I also include a link to a poem that a reader shared -- inspired by the lovely image of a male mountain bluebird sent in by Eva Gerdts -- in honor of National Poetry Month; http://scienceblogs.com/grrlscientist/2008/04/the_blue_bird.php Last, but not least, did you know that Kenn Kaufman has just published another book? Well he did, just in time for mother's day, and I reviewed it here; http://scienceblogs.com/grrlscientist/2008/04/flights_against_the_sunset.php I hope you are enjoying the weather in your part of the country as much as I am enjoying it here! I'll be in Cape Canaveral, FL end of May for the shuttle launch. So Merritt Island NWR will be closed to birding. Any suggestions on must see birding spots nearby? If the shuttle takes off, I will hopefully get in to Merritt Island the day after. Thanks, Kerry Gross BirdChat Guidelines: http://www.ksu.edu/audubon/chatguidelines.html Archives: http://listserv.arizona.edu/archives/birdchat.html

From: Chazz Hesselein <chazz(AT)hesselein.com> Date: 21 Apr 2008 7:46pm What would a birding trip be without a visit to a sewage treatment plant ;-)? The Viera Wetlands are a great place to bird and not too far from Cape Canaveral. I had a great view of American Bittern there and my first Limpkin. Lots of birds and great viewing. http://www.brevardcounty.us/environmental_management/VieraWetlands-Home.cfm Chazz Hesselein Mobile, AL Kerry Gross wrote: > Hello! > I'll be in Cape Canaveral, FL end of May for the shuttle launch.
